La Mer de Glace or 'Sea of Ice' is one of the most well-known glaciers in the Alps. Its source begins at around 3700m altitude in the Midi basin and flows down in the direction of Chamonix to around 1500m altitude.
Whether alone with the guide, together with family or friends, it is an ideal introduction for a first experience in a High Mountain environment.
We take the " Small Red Train " which is in circulation since 1908! Winding through the forest, he takes us to the High mountain at 1900m. Descent to the Mer de Glace with the cable car. From this point we start the hike, all roped up.
Duration of the hike: 2 to 3 hours
According to your wishes, our guides will organize and customize the trek; just a simple and relaxing hike around the seracs, or a sporty trek.
